Realism Challenge #3: Playing Card: The Process of Great Artwork

Because of all of the past frauds, cons, lies, & cheats; We live in a time where seeing is believing, right? Well, I must commend this artist for providing video proof on how a drawing can look exactly if not better than an original picture.

Does it amazes me? Absolutely not, because I understand that we as humans have the ability to do whatever we put our minds to. It's definitely fascinating to my eyes, though. I'm not going to lie and I appreciate the talent the artist provided.

I guess this video was in reference to the  Samuel Silva, whose purportedly hand-drawn ballpoint pen sketches have wowed a lot of people on the Internet. His portrait of a Russian model was so photorealistic that many people doubted he could have done it by hand, and further, that he'd used only ballpoint pens. Even though the real story behind his drawings has yet to be revealed.

If you haven't seen the picture then here it is:

Beautiful ain't it!!! Well, I don't know if he done it by ball point pen or not because after watching the video above, It's definitely possible.   Thank you for taking the time to view this blog and If you're interested in changing your future then I present to you an opportunity to earn a 100% Commissions with the Empower Network! Bread and Gluten

Gluten is a substance made up of the proteins found in wheat flour that gives bread its structure, strength, and texture.  Without these marvelous little proteins, bread would not be bread.  It also explains why it is so hard to make bread from rice, potato, or oat flour and why wheat flour has to be added to rye flour to make bread—only wheat has enough protein.  The gluten makes the bread.

Foods Containing Gluten

Along with wheat, other cereal grains that contain gluten are durum, spelt, and einkorn, as well as farro, graham, kamut, and semolina. Many are also used to enhance the flavor and protein of foods, as well as to bind and thicken their consistency. While the grains are often found in breakfast cereals and various baked goods, they can also be included in a variety of other foods that are not as obvious. Used as a thickener, gluten can be found in soups and broths, as well as gravies and sauces such as ketchup, salad dressings, or marinades. Since it enhances flavor, it is used in bouillon, spice blends, and other foods such as coffees, dairy products, vinegars, and liquors. It can also be found in the substance used to seal envelopes since it acts as a stabilizer.

Gluten & Celiac disease

Celiac disease  is a disorder resulting from an immune reaction to gluten. It can affect, genetically, predisposed people of all ages, but often begins in middle infancy. Symptoms include chronic diarrhea, weight loss and fatigue, but in some cases the disorder can be asymptomatic. Celiac disease is caused by a reaction to gliadin (a gluten protein found in wheat, barley, rye, and sometimes oats).

So, if you have celiac disease, then gluten free is the way to go.

MSM: What is MSM?

The video above was Uploaded by Jacquee22 on Apr 18, 2011

MSM

Methylsulfonylmethane (METH-əl-sul-FON-il-METH-ane) provides sulfur, a vital building block of joints, cartilage, skin, hair and nails, and methyl groups, which support many vital biochemical processes in the body, including energy production.            MSM

It's a naturally-occurring nutrient found in small amounts of many foods. As a dietary supplement, it is synthesized. When made correctly, it is identical to that found in nature. It can be taken alone or in combination with other joint health supplements, such as glucosamine and chondroitin.

MSM & Joint Pain

MSM is thought to deliver sulfur to the body in a useable way. Sulfur helps maintain the structure of connective tissue by forming cross-linkages through disulfide bonds, i.e., sulfur strengthens the tissues that make up the joint.
Sulfur is critical to good joint health. Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) are the fundamental building blocks of joint cartilage, and GAG molecules are linked together in chains by disulfide bonds. As the name implies, these bonds are between two sulfur atoms. The disulfide bridges reduce conformational flexibility of GAG chains, making cartilage firm and resilient. Cartilage integrity is thus a sulfur-dependent state.
MSM contains a lot of sulfur – 34% by weight. While more research is needed to determine how the body absorbs the sulfur it needs from MSM, preliminary studies in mice and in horses suggest that the sulfur in MSM is incorporated into proteins and into joint tissues.

MSM & Hair Growth
It can naturally lengthen your hair’s growth phase.
Your hair grows in three cycles: Growing, Resting, and Shedding. Each and every hair on your head (even body) is in one of these phases at all times. However, you may not notice significant shedding, because you have many other hairs in the other two phases at the same time.
So how will it make your hair grow longer? If your “Growing” phase lasts two years, and your hair normally grows one half inch per month, your hair will only grow 12 inches before entering the resting and shedding phases. (24 months times ½ inch per month).
On the other hand, if your “Growing” phase lasts 3 years, then it will grow 18 inches. (36 months times ½ inch per month).
Since your growth phase is genetically determined, there is no way this will change unless you use a supplement containing MSM. It's also known to naturally increase the length of your hair’s growing phase.
Information provided by www.msmguide.com
Since so many companies are selling MSM, make sure that you get the one that says a 100% Pure.

Organic Apple Cider Vinegar: Why is Organic Apple Cider Vinegar Important?

The Organic Apple Cider Vinegar

Organic Apple Cider Vinegar
This Raw Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, is made by fermenting apples in a wood barrel. It can be a powerful, healthy, weapon in your arsenal. It can help you battle a variety of illnesses and flush out toxins.

The truly useful apple cider vinegar is not the clear vinegar you find in many stores. There's no health benefit from clear vinegar. The powerful benefits are found in the natural organic apple cider vinegar with a brownish tinge to it and floating stuff inside. The floating matter is called "mother" and is formed from the pectin and apple residue. This brown vinegar is the one creating all the buzz, the one with the minerals, amino acids and vitamins.

Reasons why Organic Apple Cider Vinegar is my recommendation for a healthy body plus weight loss

There are many ingredients found in Organic Apple Cider Vinegar that enhances its reputation as a true health benefit. Calcium, iron, sodium, potassium, malic acid and pectin are several of the minerals which it has in perfectly balanced amounts, which gets most people's attention & here's how they benefit your body.

Potassium- to avoid runny nose, hair loss, brittle teeth
Malic Acid- to fight infections from harmful bacteria and fungus
Acetic Acid- accounts for the sour taste of vinegar; lowers the blood's pH levels thereby creating an inhospitable intestinal environment for bacterial & fungal infections
Pectin- facilitates regulation of blood pressure and removal of bad cholesterol

Other Benefits of Organic Apple Cider Vinegar
-Smoothes skin texture and tone
-Relieves muscle pain from exercise
-Promotes digestion & pH Balance
-Promotes a healthy immune system
-Improves digestion and helps expel body toxins
-Can help soothe neck, shoulder and back pain
-Raw Apple Cider Vinegar helps clear skin irritations, like acne & contact dermatitis
-Helps with weight control – Organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar taken before meals will speed up your metabolism
-Can be applied shoulders, neck and forehead to feel rejuvenated (only for 30 minutes per session and shower after)
-Organic Apple Cider Vinegar has even been known to help relieve the symptoms of constipation

As you can see, this vinegar serves a great purpose for your body and I highly recommend that you use it if you're trying to lose weight or trying to help show your six pack.
Trust me, it was definitely a help for me obtaining mine.
Troy's Abdominals

*Note that Organic Apple Cider Vinegar is not great on its Taste* here's a few tips to help you take it.

-Mix it with water (or your favorite beverage) and raw honey or nectar for a refreshing morning drink; the honey is also beneficial to your immune system and provides energy.
-You can use it on your salad
-If you like to pickle fruits & vegetables, then you can sprinkle some on them which is a very healthy choice
-You can also add it to your regular blend of herbs & spices when you mix marinades for meats if you're a meat eater

This is why Organic Apple Cider Vinegar is one of my favorites and it's Naturally Gluten Free

Losing Belly fat; Extreme Weight loss and Carbohydrates Foods

Losing Belly fat; Extreme Weight loss and Carbohydrates Foods Breakdown
This seems like the number 1 question in the fitness world and every time you log on to the internet, there's this magical pill or some type of machine that will help you obtain abs. So, people tuned into these infomercials, see these models with abs (most were paid to advertise the product), and they expect to look like that in a short period of time.

Now, I know that you're sick and tired of buying these products and getting minimal results. I'm sick and tired of seeing these pop up ads that saying that "the trainer hates these guys". In order to get rid of or slim down your midsection, you will have to understand your abdominal muscles and fat. The body needs fat to store energy and the abdominal is the area where it stores it.
So, what does that mean? To put it in a nutshell, that's the last place where fat is going to leave. Well what about liposuction? Please avoid going that route because I believed it’s unsafe. For one, during that type of procedure, it strips away all of your fat cells and fat will go where there are fat cells. So, if fat cells are not around the abdominal area, then your body fat must go where they are cells. That could increase in the fingers, neck, or wherever fat decides to go.
You must control what goes in your body and stay away from foods that are high in fat, have high sodium (which leads you bloated), and ones that have trans-fat in them. You will have to find alternatives and give up the fast & greasy foods. Exercising is important but they key to obtaining great looking abs is through the foods that enter your body. More fruits and vegetables and less meat and potatoes. You can either continue buying pills and machines or stay looking the way you are or you can make a sacrifice and do it the right way. The choice is always yours. Make it the right one!

Losing Belly fat; Extreme Weight loss and Carbohydrates Foods Plus Foods that have natural fat fighting properties

Fat Burning Fruits
Some of the fruits that cut fat are apples, blueberries and watermelon, oranges, guava, grapefruit, papaya, sweet lime, and tangerines.
Fat Burning Fruits rich in vitamin C - Citrus Fruits: like limes, lemons, oranges, guava, grapefruit, papaya, sweet lime, tangerines and tomatoes are rich in Vitamin C and fiber and have fat burning properties so they may be called as fat burners or fat fighters.
Vitamin C helps the body process fat faster and also stimulates the carnitine amino acid which speeds up the body's fat-burning capacity.Vitamin C also dilutes the fat and makes it less effective and helps in releasing the fat from the body.
Apples: Pectin in apple restricts the cells to absorb the fat; and also encourages water absorption from the food which helps in releasing the fat deposits from the body. The antioxidants in apples may help prevent metabolic syndrome, a condition marked by excess belly fat or an apple body shape.

Losing Belly fat; Extreme Weight loss and Carbohydrates Foods

Fat Burning Vegetables
Some of the vegetables that may be included in the list of fat burning foods are asparagus, beet root, broccoli, cabbage, carrot, chilies, beans, soybeans, sweet potatoes.
Chilies: Foods containing chilies or cayenne pepper are considered as foods that burn fat. Chilies contain capsaicin that helps in increasing the metabolism. Capsaicin is a thermo genic food, so it causes the body to burn extra calories for 20 minutes after you eat the chilies.
Curry leaves (Curry Patta): Curry leaves flush out fat and toxins, reducing fat deposits in the body.
Fat Burning Vegetables: Garlic: Garlic contains the anti-bacterial sulphur compound allicin which helps reduce cholesterol and unhealthy fats, making it an effective fat burning food.
Cabbage: Cabbage, raw or cooked inhibits the conversion of sugar and other carbohydrates into fat, making it good for weight reduction.
Dairy Products That Burn Fat:
Calcium rich foods like dairy products - milk, cheese and yogurt are good at fat burning that can boost weight loss by increasing fat breakdown in fat cells.
Eating 3-4 servings of dairy products a day is more effective at enhancing weight loss efforts than calcium supplementation alone.
The researchers found:
Overweight people who consumed 3 servings a day of calcium-rich dairy lost more belly fat than those who followed a similar diet minus two or more of the dairy servings. The calcium supplements didn't work as well as milk.

Nuts help feel full while also increasing the body's ability to burn fat, says author Jordi Salas-Salvado of the University of Rovira i Virgili in Reus, Spain.
Cardamom: Cardamom is a thermogenic herb like Capsaicin that increases metabolism and helps burn body fat.
Proteins: High Protein Foods and high fiber foods are best foods burning belly fat. Protein needs more energy to digest than fat so eat low calorie dairy products, beans, whole grains, oatmeal, eggs, etc. as much as possible. Eggs contain vitamin B12, which helps the body in breaking down and burning the fat.
Lentils are high in protein and soluble fiber, two nutrients that stabilize blood sugar levels, therefore lentils are a great tummy flattener," according to Tanya Zuckerbrot, R.D., author of The F-Factor Diet.
Green Tea: Studies show that green tea revs up your metabolism, so drink several cups a day.
Fish oil: Fish oil supplements are a great way to shed pounds. A recent study found that fish oil is great for helping your body burn fat more efficiently.
Honey: Honey mobilises the extra fat deposits in the body.
Avoid Salt and Sugar: Avoiding salt and sugar can shape you up very fast.
Note that in order to lose weight you have to burn more calories than you consume. This can be done by eating fat fighting foods and doing some physical activity. This will help your body burning up the excessive stored fat.
Another process that's crucial to losing belly fat is the detoxification of your liver. To understand exactly how, click here or on the picture below to know why!

What's Your Motivation?

WHAT'S YOUR MOTIVATION

The number 1 reason why people give up fast is because they tend to look at how far they have to go, instead of how far they have gotten.

When it comes to fitness, you definitely have to train your mind because it's a very key component to helping you obtain that body that you're always dreaming of.

I honestly believe, No, I know for a fact that what you put in your body is the key to getting your body right. There's nothing like a nice lean & toned body.

Check out how I look before I got serious got into becoming fit.

Yep, the red arrow is me and boy was I a stick. This was back in 2001 and the other guys in the picture are my Marines buddies. I know that it's probably a shock that I was in the Marine Corps right! I guess they don't make them like they show in the commercials anymore.

Now, look at the modern day version of myself:

So, I'm here to tell you that hard work does pay off. You just have to be willing to put in the time and effort. Another quote I would like to leave you with is "I don't find the time to exercise, I make the time to exercise" I'm not sure who came up with it but I sure live by it.

Through my journey, I would have to say the most important thing besides your mind to obtain a fit body is the type of foods that you allow to enter your body. Continue following my blog posts and I will put out my recommendations.

Kobe Bryant scores 68 points in a charity game in China (All in 15 Minutes)

The video above was published on Aug 19, 2012 by AOTSNEWS

The black mamba, also called the common black mamba or black-mouthed mamba, is the longest venomous snake in Africa, averaging around 2.5 to 3.2 m in length, and sometimes growing to lengths of 4.45 m..

In this case, the black mamba is 6'6 205lbs and strike once again in China! No wonder why his jersey is #1 overseas, especially in China! China love them some Kobe and his 68 points in 15 minutes just added on to his legacy.

Yeah, the competition was of NBA caliber, but I believe that he's already rejuvenated for this upcoming season with the addition the Lakers added this off-season. One thing you can say about the Lakers Organization is that they know what they be doing. Even when we don't understand the whole process behind the scenes, they do seem to eventually bring home a championship.

I'm just eager to see how this upcoming season plays out. We know that Kobe's on his last couple of years in the pros. At least, that what he says but I don't know about that because he's so freaking stubborn. Let me state that he called himself stubborn first so I'm just re-iterating it. I can't just see him retire unless they force him too.

We got new blood that's ready to take over with Lebron and Durant but the Black Mamba ain't ready to hand over the torch yet without a fight.

While Kobe is overseas playing and scoring 60+ points in games, watch how I'm scoring a 100% Commission with Empower Network! Click on the Empower Network Image below to see how I'm scoring my 100%.

Jarvez Hall Loses Nearly Half His Body Weight

The video above was published on Aug 19, 2012 by Nazrhite

By the time Jarvez Hall reached his 28th birthday, he was already dangerously obese.
His weight gain had started years before, spurred by a passion for playing football and encouragement from others.

"Middle school is when I started getting big," Hall of Portland, Ore., said. "People encouraged me to get big. 'Oh, you're big, that means you're more manly. You're big. You're strong and tough.'"

"So I was actually excited," he said. "I wanted to be big."

Hall went on to play football at Oregon State University but eventually his football career and the weight piled on, reaching its peak as his beloved mother struggled with sickle-cell anemia.
"When my mom got sick, that is when my weight got worse," he said.

Hall met the love of his life, Adriana, and asked for her hand in marriage. The day before they walked down the aisle together, however, he wrote a letter to Chris Powell, fitness expert and the trainer on ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition," asking for help.

When Powell arrived to help, Hall weighed 548 pounds at his first weigh-in.

"Wow, I look at this number and I'm motivated," he said at the time. "My goal is to get into the "twos" and officially bring sexy back."

In the next year, with Powell at his side, Hall pushed through the highs and lows of his weight-loss journey.

"I'm just going to keep pushing because I can't be 548 [pounds]," he said. "The next number after 548 is death."

After one year on Powell's program, Hall weighed in at 267 pounds and had dropped from a size 70 waist to a size 38. His total weight loss came to more than 280 pounds.

"My world is so different now because I can appreciate the small things in life," Hall said today on " Good Morning America" alongside Powell. "Just coming here, I got to fly on an airplane and sit in one seat and not have a seat-belt extender. I don't have to worry about where I'm going to sit. I can sit in a movie theater."

Powell says it was the same determination that helped Hall succeed as an athlete that pushed him in his weight-loss journey.
"He [Hall] is the epitome of perseverance and persistence," Powell said. "He fell sometimes like we all do. We're all human and it happens on the journey but every single time he did he got right back up. He attacked every single day like it was a brand-new day and he kept going and this is where it gets you."

Also appearing on "GMA" with Hall was his now-wife, Adriana, the woman who sparked his weight-loss journey on the eve of their wedding. Adriana, who lost weight along with her husband, is now expecting the couple's first child.

"I can go places and live life with my wife and enjoy it," Hall said of his new life. "It's amazing."

This story was published by ABC News | ABC News Blogs.

No matter what you're going through, I always have the ability to change your situation. All you have to do is dig down deep within yourself and make a decision to want to change. The more you weigh, the harder your internal organs have to work. I'm glad that his now-wife stuck by his side and help supported him on his journey.

Big-ups to Jarvez Hall and I hope he continue to get his weight down just a little bit more. Another great thing about this post is that I have an opportunity to help change someone's financial future. Maybe, you was looking for a way to earn a decent income and spend more time with your family. 10 Worst Food Ingredients

MSG – Slowly Poisoning America
Not only is MSG scientifically proven to cause obesity, it is an addictive substance: NICOTINE for FOOD!
MSG triples the amount of insulin the pancreas creates causing humans to become obese
MSG manufacturers themselves admit that MSG addicts people to their products

Aspartame
There are over 92 different health side effects associated with aspartame consumption.
Aspartame dissolves into solution and can therefore travel throughout the body and deposit within any tissue. The body digests aspartame unlike saccharin, which does not break down within humans.
The multitude of aspartame side effects are indicative to your genetic individuality and physical weaknesses.

High Fructose Corn Syrup
High fructose corn syrup (HFCS) is a calorie-providing sweetener used to sweeten foods and beverages, particularly processed and store-bought foods. It is made by an enzymatic process from glucose syrup that is derived from corn.

Agave Nectar
Although it's fast becoming the preferred sweetener for health-conscious consumers and natural cooks, the truth is that agave is processed just like other sugars -- and is no better for you than other sugars. And don’t be dazzled by the word "natural"; U.S. food regulators do not legally define the term, so it's left up to manufacturers.

Artificial Food Coloring
Citrus Red 2, Red 3, Red 40, Yellow 5, Yellow 6, Blue 1, Blue 2 and Green 3, --which include some of the most commonly used artificial food colorings--have all been identified as being, or being contaminated with, potential cancer-causing chemicals, according to the Center for Science in the Public Interest. And Blue 1, Red 40, Yellow 5, and Yellow 6 are known to trigger reactions in those with allergies.

BHA & BHT
Both BHT and BHA are dangerous to our children’s health and are completely unnecessary.
With the new “craze” (I call it a craze because I think it’s a load of BS) of ADHD and ADD, parents should be watching what they are feeding to their children. It’s funny, isn’t it, that so many parents feed their children hyped up sugary snacks, and then throw them on drugs for this new “disease” that’s causing them to be “overly hyper”
In addition to causing hyperactivity in children, BHT and BHA are considered carcinogens by the United States Department of Health and Human Services. Yet the FDA allows them to be used in foods?! What’s wrong with this picture?

Sodium Nitrite
Sodium nitrite may trigger migraines in people who already suffer from them. Eating processed meat containing the chemical can cause the blood vessels in the brain to widen and enlarge, creating severe headaches.
A serious concern in regard to sodium nitrite consumption is the formation of carcinogens. When meat preserved by sodium nitrite is cooked, the high heat levels encourage the formation of cancer-causing agents.
Although it is not flammable in itself, sodium nitrite can cause fire if exposed to other materials. Inhaling or ingesting sodium nitrite can cause toxicity symptoms, such as dizziness, vomiting, spasms, nausea, abdominal pain, coma, a rapid heartbeat and irregular breathing. Skin contact with the chemical may cause an allergic reaction accompanied by redness, pain and itching.

Sodium Nitrate
When you consume sodium nitrate, the sodium portion of the molecule separates from the nitrate portion. You can absorb sodium and as long as you don't consume it in excess, it doesn't hurt you. Your body can turn nitrate into nitrite, however, which has the formula NO2. Nitrites then react with secondary amines, which are present in large concentration in the proteins you eat, to form compounds called nitrosamines. Nitrosamines are carcinogenic, or cancer-causing, in humans.
While everyone who consumes nitrates is at risk due to formation of nitrosamines, pregnant women should avoid nitrate-containing foods for an additional reason; the nitrites produced from ingested nitrates can cross the placenta. This can result in production of methemoglobin in a fetus, explains Dr. Nachman Gruener and colleagues in a 1973 article in the "Bulletin of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology." Methemoglobin isn't as efficient at delivering oxygen, so this can result in fetal oxygen deprivation.

Potassium Bromate
Potassium bromate have the ability to cause cancer within your body. These chemical based products usually become metabolized into harmful substances within different organs, and generally target those specific places once produced. In the case of potassium bromate, cancer usually develops in the kidney or thyroid when consumed frequently and in large doses.

Recombinant bovine growth hormone (rBGH)
Recombinant bovine growth hormone (rBGH) is a synthetic (man-made) hormone that is marketed to dairy farmers to increase milk production in cows. It has been used in the United States since it was approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 1993, but its use is not permitted in the European Union, Canada, and some other countries. This document summarizes what is known about the product and its potential effects on health.

It is estimated that around 1/3 of cows in the United States are injected with this synthetic hormone, which means that you have most likely been highly exposed to rBGH if you live in the U.S. or have eaten U.S. dairy products.
*It is also banned in 27 countries but why not the U.S.*

Refined Vegetable Oil
There are three basic processes in the edible oil refinery. First process is neutralizing the oil in the neutralizer to remove the Free Fatty Acids (FFA) by adding caustic soda. Oil is heated upto about 60°C by thermic fluid coils and oil is stirred by stirrer. Then soap stock formed due to chemical reaction is allowed to settle at the bottom of the neutralizer from where it is taken out into soap pan.

Neutralized oil is drawn into the second vessel called bleacher where colour of oil is removed by bleaching process with aid of chemicals such as carbon black and bleaching earth. Oil is generally heated upto 110°C by thermic fluid coils. Stirring is also continued. Bleaching process is done under vacuum.

Bleached oil then goes to the filter press where bleaching earth and chemicals are separated and clean bleached oil is then drawn to deodourizer where oil is heated above 110°C through thermic fluid coils and then live steam is given to the oil from the bottom steam nozzles and temperature of oil is raised upto 200 to 220°C through thermic fluid coils. Entire process is done under high vacuum. Thus smell is removed from the oil in the deodourizer. Then it goes to cooler where water circulating coils take away heat and oil is cooled. Again it goes to second filter press where completely refined and transparent colour less oil is obtained.

Thermic Fluid Boiler, Vacuum Pump, Barometric Condenser, Catchalls, Steam Generator etc. play their role in the refining process. So these equipments are part of the refinery and connected with the vessels through pipelines.

So, if you’re trying to receive that body that you always wanted, then you might want to avoid these food ingredients! Trust me, I definitely do!
All it takes is for you to read the back of food labels. Now, I know you probably thinking that you can’t possibly expect companies to put all of their ingredients on the label but you can avoid those that do. If you’re serious about obtaining great health then my message will be a no brainer.

The Power of Squats

The video above was uploaded by brassringfitness on Aug 12, 2008

The squat is at the top of the heap (along with dead lifts) as one of the most effective overall exercises for stimulating body composition changes (muscle gain and fat loss). This is because exercises like squats and dead lifts use more muscle groups under a heavy load than almost any other weight bearing exercises known to man. Hence, these exercises stimulate the greatest hormonal responses (growth hormone, testosterone, etc.) of all exercises. In fact, university research studies have even proven that inclusion of squats into a training program increases upper body development, in addition to lower body development, even though upper body specific joint movements are not performed during the squat. Whether your goal is gaining muscle mass, losing body fat, building a strong and functional body, or improving athletic performance, the basic squat and dead lift (and their variations) are the ultimate solution. If you don’t believe me that squats and dead lifts are THE basis for a lean and powerful body, then go ahead and join all of the other overweight people pumping away mindlessly for hours on boring cardio equipment. Note, that I'm not trying to pick on overweight people either. Now, if you have some kind of injury that will prevent you from doing squats, then i understand but for those of you who don't, then this applies to you.

You want the truth, so I'm giving it to you without trying to be rude. I know how sensitive some people can get when they read some of my blogs or content but you'll thank me if you follow along with my recommendations.

Squats can be done simply with your body-weight or with any free weighted objects for extra resistance such as barbells, dumbbells, kettle-bells, sandbags, etc. Squats should only be done with free weights – NEVER with a Smith machine or any other squat machines! Machines do not allow your body to follow natural, bio mechanically-correct movement paths. You also perform less work because the machine stabilizes the weight for you. Therefore, you get weaker results!
The type of squat that people are most familiar with is the barbell back squat where the bar is resting on the trapezius muscles of the upper back. Many professional strength coaches believe that front squats (where the bar rests on the shoulders in front of the head) and overhead squats (where the bar is locked out in a snatch grip overhead throughout the squat) are more functional to athletic performance than back squats with less risk of lower back injury. I feel that a combination of all three (not necessarily during the same phase of your workouts) will yield the best results for overall muscular development, body fat loss, and athletic performance.

To perform front squats:
The front squat recruits the abdominals to a much higher degree for stability due to the more upright position compared with back squats. It is mostly a lower body exercise, but is great for functionally incorporating core strength and stability into the squatting movement. It can also be slightly difficult to learn how to properly rest the bar on your shoulders. There are two ways to rest the bar on the front of the shoulders. In the first method, you step under the bar and cross your forearms into an “X” position while resting the bar on the dimple that is created by the shoulder muscle near the bone, keeping your elbows up high so that your arms are parallel to the ground. You then hold the bar in place by pressing the thumb side of your fists against the bar for support. Alternatively, you can hold the bar by placing your palms face up and the bar resting on your fingers against your shoulders. For both methods, your elbows must stay up high to prevent the weight from falling. Your upper arms should stay parallel to the ground throughout the squat. Find out which bar support method is more comfortable for you. Then, initiate the squat from your hips by sitting back and down, keeping the weight on your heels as opposed to the balls of your feet. Squat down to a position where your thighs are approximately parallel to the ground, then press back up to the starting position. Keeping your weight more towards your heels is the key factor in squatting to protect your knees from injury and develop strong injury-resistant knee joints. Keep in mind – squats done correctly actually strengthen the knees; squats done incorrectly can damage the knees. Practice first with an un-weighted bar or a relatively light weight to learn the movement. Most people are surprised how hard this exercise works your abs once you learn the correct form. This is due to the more upright posture compared with back squats.

I will cover the other squat positions in some future blog posts. Hopefully, the information I've provided will give you a jump start on understanding why squats are important for an overall lean and stronger body.

Cortisol and Weight Gain

The video above was uploaded by 180degreehealth on Apr 26, 2010.

Cortisol is an important hormone in the body, secreted by the adrenal glands and involved in the following functions and more:

Proper glucose metabolism
Regulation of blood pressure
Insulin release for blood sugar maintenance
Immune function
Inflammatory response

Normally, it’s present in the body at higher levels in the morning, and at its lowest at night. Although stress isn’t the only reason that cortisol is secreted into the bloodstream, it has been termed “the stress hormone” because it’s also secreted in higher levels during the body’s 'fight or flight' response to stress, and is responsible for several stress-related changes in the body. Small increases of cortisol have some positive effects:

A quick burst of energy for survival reasons
Heightened memory functions
A burst of increased immunity
Lower sensitivity to pain
Helps maintain homeostasis in the body

While cortisol is an important and helpful part of the body’s response to stress, it’s important that the body’s relaxation response to be activated so the body’s functions can return to normal following a stressful event. Unfortunately, in our current high-stress culture, the body’s stress response is activated so often that the body doesn’t always have a chance to return to normal, resulting in a state of chronic stress.
Higher and more prolonged levels of cortisol in the bloodstream (like those associated with chronic stress) have been shown to have negative effects, such as:

Impaired cognitive performance
Suppressed thyroid function
Blood sugar imbalances such as hyperglycemia
Decreased bone density
Decrease in muscle tissue
Higher blood pressure
-Lowered immunity and inflammatory responses in the body, slowed wound healing, and other health consequences
-Increased abdominal fat, which is associated with a greater amount of health problems than fat deposited in other areas of the body. Some of the health problems associated with increased stomach fat are heart attacks, strokes, the development of metabolic syndrome, higher levels of “bad” cholesterol (LDL) and lower levels of “good” cholesterol (HDL), which can lead to other health problems!

To keep cortisol levels healthy and under control, the body’s relaxation response should be activated after the fight or flight response occurs. You can learn to relax your body with various stress management techniques, and you can make lifestyle changes in order to keep your body from reacting to stress in the first place. The following have been found by many to be very helpful in relaxing the body and mind, aiding the body in maintaining healthy cortisol levels:

Guided Imagery
Journaling
Self-Hypnosis
Exercise
Yoga
Listening to Music
Breathing Exercises
Meditation
Sex
Other Techniques

Cortisol secretion varies among individuals. People are biologically ‘wired’ to react differently to stress. One person may secrete higher levels of cortisol than another in the same situation. Studies have also shown that people who secrete higher levels of cortisol in response to stress also tend to eat more food, and food that is higher in carbohydrates than people who secrete less cortisol. If you’re more sensitive to stress, it’s especially important for you to learn stress management techniques and maintain a low-stress lifestyle.

The Art of Jump Roping

The video was uploaded by fight hype on Sept. 20, 2007

When it comes to aerobic exercises, I believe jump roping is one of the fundamentals that we kind of got away from. Remember, when we was young, that was one of the activity we used to do at recess or at school activities. As we got older, it seems like we got away from it.

I'm telling you that you need to incorporate this exercise especially if you're trying to stay in shape. Why do you think boxers jump rope? There's an art to it and boxers like Floyd Mayweather Jr just take it to the next level. Now, you may not be able to master it like he does in the video above, but over time you will be able to come up with all kind of moves if you would use your imagination.

I love jump roping because it involves sharping the mind as well. I hope that this post and video is the motivation you need to get back to jump roping. And when I'm not Jump Roping, I'm making a 100% Commissions with the Empower Network. For Details, Click on the Image below!

Sodium and How to control sodium in your body

Sodium: Essential in small amounts Your body needs some sodium to function properly because it: Helps maintain the right balance of fluids in your body Helps transmit nerve impulses Influences the contraction and relaxation of muscles Your kidneys naturally balance the amount of sodium stored in your body for optimal health. When your sodium levels are low, your kidneys essentially hold on to the sodium.

When sodium levels are high, your kidneys excrete the excess in urine. But if for some reason your kidneys can't eliminate enough sodium, the sodium starts to accumulate in your blood. Because sodium attracts and holds water, your blood volume increases. Increased blood volume makes your heart work harder to move more blood through your blood vessels, which increases pressure in your arteries. Such diseases as congestive heart failure, cirrhosis and chronic kidney disease can make it hard for your kidneys to keep sodium levels balanced. Some people's bodies are more sensitive to the effects of sodium than are others. If you're sodium sensitive, you retain sodium more easily, leading to fluid retention and increased blood pressure. If this becomes chronic, it can lead to heart disease, stroke, kidney disease and congestive heart failure.

Sodium: How much do you need? The 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommend limiting sodium to less than 2,300 mg a day — or 1,500 mg if you're age 51 or older, or if you are black, or if you have high blood pressure, diabetes or chronic kidney disease. Keep in mind that these are upper limits, and less is usually best, especially if you're sensitive to the effects of sodium. If you aren't sure how much sodium your diet should include, talk to your doctor. Sodium: Main dietary sources The average American gets about 3,400 mg of sodium a day — much more than recommended. To help keep your sodium consumption in check, you need to know where the sodium comes from. Here are the main sources of sodium in a typical diet: Processed and prepared foods. The vast majority of sodium in the typical American diet comes from foods that are processed and prepared.

These foods are typically high in salt, which is a combination of sodium and chloride, and in additives that contain sodium. Processed foods include bread, prepared dinners like pasta, meat and egg dishes, pizza, cold cuts and bacon, cheese, soups, and fast foods. Natural sources. Some foods naturally contain sodium. These include all vegetables and dairy products such as milk, meat and shellfish. While they don't have an abundance of sodium, eating these foods does add to your overall sodium intake. For example, 1 cup (237 milliliters) of low-fat milk has about 107 mg of sodium. In the kitchen and at the table. Many recipes call for salt, and many people also salt their food at the table. Condiments may also contain sodium. One tablespoon (15 milliliters) of soy sauce, for example, has about 1,000 mg of sodium.

Know your labels

Many food packages include sodium-related terms. Here's what they mean:
  • Sodium-free or salt-free. Each serving in this product contains less than 5 mg of sodium.
  • Very low sodium. Each serving contains 35 mg of sodium or less.
  • Low sodium. Each serving contains 140 mg of sodium or less.
  • Reduced or less sodium. The product contains at least 25 percent less sodium than the regular version. You should check the label to see how much sodium is in a serving.
  • Lite or light in sodium. The sodium content has been reduced by at least 50 percent from the regular version. You should check the label to see how much sodium is in a serving.
  • Unsalted or no salt added. No salt is added during processing of a food that normally contains salt. However, some foods with these labels may still be high in sodium because some of the ingredients may be high in sodium.
But watch out — foods labeled "reduced sodium" or "light in sodium" may still contain a lot of salt. For example, regular canned chicken noodle soup contains about 1,100 mg of sodium per cup, so a product with 25 percent less sodium still has a whopping 820 mg of sodium per cup. The same holds true for "lite" or "light in sodium" varieties. Try to avoid products with more than 200 mg of sodium per serving. And check the Nutrition Facts label closely for the serving size — and consider how many servings you actually eat. The article above was written by Mayo Clinic staff from www.mayoclinic.com

USMC Silent Drill Platoon

I just wanted to share with you guys one of the baddest drill teams in America!! Hope you enjoy the video. This bought back some memories Ohhh Rahhh!!!

The Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon is a 24-man rifle platoon that performs a unique precision drill exhibition. This highly disciplined platoon exemplifies the professionalism associated with the United States Marine Corps.

The Silent Drill Platoon first performed in the Sunset Parades of 1948 and received such an overwhelming response that it soon became a regular part of the parades at Marine Barracks Washington, D.C.

The Marines execute a series of calculated drill movements and precise handling of their hand-polished, 10-and-one-half pound, M1 Garand rifles with fixed bayonets. The routine concludes with a unique rifle inspection sequence demonstrating elaborate rifle spins and tosses.

These Marines are individually selected from the Schools of Infantry located in Camp Pendleton, Calif., and Camp Lejeune, N.C., based on interviews conducted by barracks personnel. Once selected, Marines are assigned to Marine Barracks Washington to serve a 2-year ceremonial tour. Beyond their ceremonial duties, the Marines collaterally train in the field as infantrymen. To remain proficient, these Marines hone their infantry skills at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Va., throughout the year.

Experienced members of the Silent Drill Platoon have the opportunity to audition to become rifle inspectors. They must go through inspection tryouts graded by the rifle inspectors of the previous year. Only two Marines per year are selected to become rifle inspectors. They, along with the platoon's drill master, are entrusted with keeping and passing on the unique knowledge and traditions of the Silent Drill Platoon.

Once the year's Silent Drill Platoon Marines have been selected each fall, they begin their rigorous training at Marine Barracks Washington and later move to Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Ariz., in order to perfect the routine before beginning a tour of the Corps' continental installations. Throughout the year, they perform in front of hundreds of thousands of spectators at Marine Barracks Washington and at numerous events across the country and abroad.

LIFE IS AN ECHO

A Friend asked me to them something encouraging because they were in need to hear something to cheer them up. I hope this will help....

A son and his father were walking in the mountains. Suddenly, his son falls, hurts himself and screams: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"

To his surprise, hears the voice repeating, somewhere in the mountain: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"

Curious, he yells: "Who are you?" He receives the answer: "Who are you?" Angered at the response, he screams: "Coward!"

 He receives the answer: "Coward!"

He looks to his father and asks: "What's going on?" The father smiles and says: "My son, pay attention." And then he screams to the mountain: "I admire you!" The voice answers: "I admire you!" Again the man screams: "You are a champion!"

The voice answers: "You are a champion!" The boy is surprised, but does not understand. Then the father explains: "People call this echo, but really this is life. It gives you back everything you say or do. Our life is simply a reflection of our actions.

If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart. If you want more competence in your team, improve your competence. This relationship applies to everything,in all aspects of life; life will give you back everything you have given to it."~The end

Chad (Ochocinco) Johnson Bond Hearing

The video above was Published on Aug 12, 2012 by JetsSuckk
Evelyn Lozada to press charges on Chad Johnson. The police report from the incident between Johnson and his wife Evelyn Lozada also was released Sunday morning. Like many police reports, it tells a few different stories. Johnson and Lozada agree that the incident happened inside Johnson's "black smart" car in the driveway in front of their house. The disagreement started when Lozada "located a Walgreen's receipt in the vehicle's trunk for a box of condoms." That's where the two accounts start to differ. Lozada claims that Johnson became upset, grabbed her, and head-butted here. She says Johnson yelled: "I don't give a (expletive)! I don't give a (expletive) about my career!" Lozada then walked to a neighbor's house and waited for them to come home before calling the police. Johnson's account is rather different. He claimed that Lozada head-butted him, which caused the three-inch laceration that was visible on her forehead. He also said that she yelled "(Expective) it!" Beyond the "he said, she said" version of events, the most notable part of the report is that Lozada told the police she wanted to press charges. She signed an affidavit saying so. The Dolphins are practicing Sunday, but it's unclear if Johnson will be present. Johnson was released from jail around the time practice started. This story was by Gregg Rosenthal Published: Aug. 12, 2012 at 02:37 p.m When you have money, all it takes is 1 simple incident. Let's just hope the truth really surfaced. Fat Loss Factor: How to use Fat Loss Factor to get rid of Belly Fat

Are you looking for the best way to get rid of body fat to have great looking abs? Well, the Fat Loss Factor is just the tool that will help you on your way to achieving your goals. Getting nice abs can be a difficult task if you’re not using the right tools or in this case, knowing the right knowledge. When most people try to get nice abs, they try to do it by doing 100s of crunches and by crash dieting. This approach is sure to end up with a lot of frustration and very few results.

Even though I was skinny, I still didn't obtain the abs that I wanted and If you don't believe me, then just check out the picture of me below:

Those were my Marine Corps Devil Dawgs and as you can see, I was just a little ole stick body, but I've end up discovering an amazing program to helped me obtained a ripped 6 pack. It also helped my buddies lose a ton of weight and belly fat. Just click here to see just how the Fat Loss Factor change our lives forever.

I want you to remember that getting nice abs requires a very specific approach so following the program step by step is critical to your success. Nice abs don’t happen overnight but the program will definitely help speed up your process. If you really want nice abs, click here and you can develop abs like mine below or get even better ones.

-Decrease your overall body fat percentage!!
This is the most important step of seeing your abs! You already have great looking abs but they’re hard to see when they are hiding behind your abdominal fat. So, lowering your body fat percentage is the most crucial step in the process. Now, you will have to determine how much body fat that you do have. You can either go to your doctor, a fitness trainer or someone who works at a gym, or you can even determine it yourself. To determine how much body fat you have all you have to do is follow this formula.

-For Women
Factor 1 (Total body weight x 0.732) + 8.987
Factor 2 Wrist measurement (at fullest point) / 3.140
Factor 3 Waist measurement (at navel) x 0.157
Factor 4 Hip measurement (at fullest point) x 0.249
Factor 5 Forearm measurement (at fullest point) x 0.434
Lean Body Mass Factor 1 + Factor 2 - Factor 3 - Factor 4 + Factor 5
Body Fat Weight Total bodyweight - Lean Body Mass
Body Fat Percentage (Body Fat Weight x 100) / total bodyweight

For the Men:
Factor 1 (Total body weight x 1.082) + 94.42
Factor 2 Waist measurement x 4.15
Lean Body Mass Factor 1 - Factor 2
Body Fat Weight Total bodyweight - Lean Body Mass
Body Fat Percentage (Body Fat Weight x 100) / total bodyweight

-Decrease your overall number of calories! Depending on your body size and caloric needs, this will be a little different for each person. However, the general rule remains the same. You just have to cut back on what you are currently eating and I don’t mean to starve yourself either. Eat 4-6 small meals per day because it helps to regulate your blood sugar. When you eat a big meal, then that will allow your blood sugar to spike and then your body responds by releasing more insulin. When it releases extra insulin, it stores the excess blood sugar as body fat.

-Consume high quality protein, complex carbs (help gives you extra energy during digestion), and healthy fats (Omega 3’s)!

-Chicken, fish, turkey are all great sources of high quality. Make sure to bake instead of frying them.

-Consume fruits & foods that have naturally fat fighting properties!
Apples, Oatmeal, Beans, Nuts & Seeds, Citrus fruits (grapefruits, lemon, lime, tangerine, kumquat, pummel, ugli, sweety, Satsuma, minnelo, tangelo, orange, mandarin, clementine) Strawberries, Green Tea, Chillies, Cayenne Peppers, Fish, Ground Flax Seeds (which helps fight cellulite), Olives & Olive Oil, Extra Virgin Coconut oil, Garlic, Honey, Green Leafy vegetables (spinach, broccoli, celery)
If you follow that basic guideline, then you will be on your way to changing your body into that body that you were dreaming about. It won’t be easy but if you stay discipline and apply yourself then you can be able to do anything.
Learning how to deal with abdominals is an on-going learning curve and I will definitely be having some more tips that you can benefit from. So, if you find this blog helpful then share it, post it on your FaceBook wall, twitter, and any other social sites. Videos blogs are coming soon!!!! If you want some more information and tips then click here so I can be able to email you some other great strategies!
